DATUM is built around the classic dress-sport watch: a fluted bezel, a date at 3 and a jubilee bracelet. It's a design meant to be worn every day, with anything.

Inside is a Japanese automatic movement. A weighted rotor winds the mainspring as your wrist moves, so the watch keeps running as long as you wear it, and for about 41 hours after you take it off. Pull the crown and the seconds hand stops, so you can set the time to the exact second.

The case and bracelet are solid 316L stainless steel, a low-carbon, corrosion-resistant grade. The jubilee bracelet's small five-piece links move independently, so it drapes around the wrist rather than sitting stiffly on it. It closes with a hidden butterfly clasp, and it's sized by removing links with the sizing tool kit included in the box. A sapphire crystal protects the dial.

Rated to 5ATM, DATUM handles rain and splashes. It isn't made for swimming, showers or saunas.

Every DATUM is assembled by hand and pressure-tested before it ships, with a 2-year warranty and in-house service.

Always ensure the crown is fully inserted and securely closed. Avoid water exposure and extreme heat, as temperature changes and moisture can cause internal condensation and affect the movement. Make sure the crown is tightly closed and avoid hot water.

Keep the watch away from corrosive liquids and clean it with a soft, dry cloth if contact occurs. Handle with care to avoid impacts, and store it in a cool, dry place away from heat and sunlight. Regular servicing by a trusted watchmaker is recommended.

A Silver Worth Keeping Time With

A deep sunburst silver, brushed from the centre so it turns with the light white at the edge, alive at noon. Applied Roman numerals and polished markers sit above the dial, not printed on it, and catch the room every time your wrist moves.

A fluted bezel machined into fifty mirror facets. A date that sits flush in the dial with nothing magnifying or distorting it. Hands filled with white lume, framed in polished steel. None of it is loud; all of it is deliberate.

Signed Only For You

A solid screw-down caseback in brushed stainless steel, engraved with the JV monogram and rated to 100 metres. Assembled by hand, pressure tested individually, and backed by a two-year warranty with service handled in house.
